Year-round Availability
Unlike many of the national preparation firms, our office is open year around. While we typically maintain 9 to 5 hours during the off-season we ask that you call ahead to make sure that we aren’t out to lunch or visiting a client. During the “tax season” our office hours are extended to early evenings and Saturdays.

Basic Tax Rates & Thresholds
A few significant tax rates and thresholds are listed below:

• 25% Tax Brackets for 2006 (amounts are after deductions)
  Single Taxpayers - $30,650 to $74,200
  Married Taxpayers - $61,300 to $123,700
  Head of Household - $41,050 to $106,000
• Business equipment expense deduction = $108,000
• Standard mileage rate = 44.5 cents/mile
• Capital gains tax rates
  Taxpayers in 25% bracket or higher = 15%
  Taxpayers in 25% bracket or lower = 5%
• Maximum IRA contribution = $4,000 (plus $1,000 catch-up)
• Maximum 401k contribution =$15,000 (plus $5,000 catch-up)
• Maximum Gift = $12,000
• Estate tax exemption = $2,000,000
